PLSN | LED Lekos and Profile Fixtures

LEDs have been the talk of the town for the past couple of years in the industry. The LED began to show up in wash fixtures, displays and video walls. Everyone was excited about the LED. The savings in energy consumption and operating costs and the dazzling number of colors you could mix all hold high promise for LDs. The question everyone seemed to be asking, however, was, “When will there be an ellipsoidal with an LED light source?”

In the past few years, manufacturers have been answering that question. Just within the past year, some manufacturers have introduced new fixtures while others are still heavy into research and development, retooling and designing fixtures to respond to customer requests.

Not all of the fixtures outlined below are currently shipping, but in the New Year, we’ll see even more product offerings and updates to meet changing perceptions of what an LED profile fixture should be, and be able to do. We’re still in the early stages of ellipsoidals with LED light sources, but the future is looking brighter and more defined.
