Christie’s new JumpStart software offers a fast, intuitive way to put high resolution content onto multi-display or tiled digital signage, such as Christie’s MicroTiles. Combining user-friendly JumpStart software with HP hardware, Christie JumpStart enables users to position and play back a wide range of content including video, graphics, applications, Blu-ray and DVD movies, remote video sources, color swatches and text.

Gerriets International, which has developed Kabuki components over the last several years, including its G2 Release Unit and G-Frame 54 controller, recently took the wraps off its latest development, the Kabuki ECO Controller. The new control box, which runs on 120V or 230V AC power, is a lower-cost, simpler alternative to Gerriets’ full-featured G-Frame controller. While it has fewer features that the G-Frame, which can be used to trigger 30 to 60 G2 release units via DMX, the Kabuki ECO Controller still lets users trigger up to 10 G2 Release Units. Gerriet’s G2 Release Unit uses friction-free, electronically-triggered hooks (instead of solenoids or pins) to suspend and then release curtains. Each G2 can be loaded with up to 110 lbs. of weight.

Mega-Lite’s DRAMA LED is a new hard-edge, professional profile fixture available in two models: RGBW (red, green, blue and white; pictured here) and W (white). Both fixtures have a single source LED, which makes for a uniform beam, free of multicolor shadowing. Both fixtures feature dimmer, strobe and macros, measure 22 by 22.75 by 14.25 inches and weigh 11 lbs. Both also have multiple lens options (19°, 26°, 36°, 50°) and feature DMX 512 operation via 3-pin XLR connectors (in and out). VAN NUYS, CA - Litepanels’ Hilio high intensity LED lighting fixtures are now shipping. Daylight color balanced Hilio is a small-footprint LED fixture capable of emitting 5600°K illumination over a 20 ft. to 25 ft. (6.1 - 7.6m) distance without requiring a ballast. The new high output Hilio draws just 115W (while providing comparable illumination to a 575W HMI) and offers a bulb life of 50,000 hours while operating from 100-240VAC 50/60 Hz, or 24VDC battery.

Global Special Effects says its CO2 Cryo-Jets can make any dance floor go from 90 degrees to 30 degrees in 6 seconds. They  create plumes of cryo-fog up to 30 feet in the air and can be hung from a truss or mounted from a wall or the floor.  There's no need to worry about any smoke alarms, as CO2 leaves the room clean with no residue.  The unit comes with a 30-foot hose to connect to a CO2 tank. The cost is $1,500 plus shipping.  The Cryo-Jet is also available in stainless steel for an additional $250.

Holo-Walls, LLC has added LED Liquid Tabletops to its Liquid Fusion line of products. The tabletops, for sale or rental, use an interactive, LED illuminated liquid-encased tile that operates on a rechargeable battery or direct power. The standard size is 80cm in diameter (31.5 inches), and custom fabrication is also available.

LOS ANGELES  – American DJ’s Micro Wash WWCW is a mini white LED par can that produces a variety of white washes, from warm tungsten to cool white. Under seven inches long, the fixture can be taken to the smallest places and tightest spaces. American DJ is marketing it to corporate events, retail displays, performance stages, mobile entertainers, small clubs and more.
