DALLAS – Philips is debuting its new LED strobe luminaire, the Showline (SL) Nitro 510. The LED- based strobe uses more than 1,300 high-powered LEDs to ensure maximum output and even distribution of light. Said Brad Schiller, Showline product marketing manager,  “The SL Nitro 510 uses less power than traditional strobes, yet is extremely bright at more than 68,000 lumens and it has six programmable zones allowing designers to create a multitude of looks.”

FRANKFURT, Germany — Robe’s Robin MMX Blade, featured at Prolight + Sound 2013, uses the 1200W-comparable MMX discharge fixture and adds a framing shutter system into the optical path. Each shutter blade's position and angle can be controlled individually, and the framing module can also be rotated. Pre-programmed shutter blade shape and movement sequences allow for unique aerial effects.
