The church is in the process of expanding its technical equipment to enrich the quality of its in-services. Part of this expansion involves the increased use of media and lighting to add to the dynamic format of the services.

Photos Scott DaviesLONDON - For a half-dozen recent performances in the U.K. and Ireland in late October featuring UK-based singer and musician John Newman, lighting and visuals designer Dan Robinson worked with an assist from XL Video. The video production company provided ROE MC-18T 18mm LED screens and a MacBook Pro running Catalyst. The MacBook Pro sat next to Robinson and his lighting console at FOH position during the tour. Pictured here, from left, is Phil "Tico" Ryder, Charlie Woods, Dan Robinson and Steven Grinceri.

Moorpark College Uses MDG Ice Fog Q Generator for Staged Production of MOORPARK, CA – For an adaptation of Bram Stoker's Dracula staged at the Moorpark College Performing Arts Center here recently, MDG's Ice Fog Q fog generator added to the spooky atmosphere created for the show, which was presented in a series of evening and afternoon performances staged in mid- to late-October as Halloween drew near. A.C.T Lighting, Inc. is the exclusive distributor of MDG foggers in North America.

Berlin Marks 25 Years of Reunification with LED Screens from WIcreations

Wicreations Fall of the WallBERLIN - Massive yet mobile LED screens supplied by WIcreations served as a key visual focal point for some of the highest-profile celebrations marking 25 years since the Berlin Wall started heading toward the dustbin of history. With help from a custom tracking system, six giant screen columns moved more than 70 meters at Berlin's Brandenburg Gate, one of several sites where celebrations took place in the once-divided city.  The Brandenburg Gate show visuals, seen before a large crowd, were also picked up via TV coverage Nov. 9, 25 years after the once-inpenetrable wall began to crumble in 1989.

Creative TechnologyLONDON - For a live concert featuring Neil Diamond that was staged at the London Palladium Oct. 14 and taped for a Nov. 13 premiere air date on British TV, Creative Technology provided visual support in the form of an 11.5 by 8.6 meter Spider 30 LED video screen. The 75-minute show, Neil Diamond: One Night Only, was hosted by Rob Brydon, who helped bring the U.K. audience on a retrospective journey back to Diamond's roots in Brooklyn, NY.

Clay Paky Fixtures Help Launch Series of Absolut Sponsored EDM EventsBROOKLYN, NY - Absolut launched a new series of EDM events on the Brooklyn waterfront Sept. 12 - not by smashing a bottle on the prow of a ship, but by lighting up the sky with an 85-foot-high Absolut bottle-shaped silhouette. Fixtures from Clay Paky played a key role at the event, staged at the Pier 9 Container Terminal in Brooklyn's Red Hook neighborhood. It was the first of a series of Absolut-sponsored EDM events, which moved on to cities around the world, including Johannesburg, Berlin and Sao Paulo.

LONDON - Behind the Scenes UK, the newly launched charity that aims to provide financial support to entertainment technology professionals when they are ill or injured, is calling on companies and individuals to send their annual Christmas cards via Card Aid this year. Card Aid has been helping charities increase their funds from the sale of their Christmas cards for over 30 years and John Simpson, Chair of Behind the Scenes UK, believes proceeds from the sale of Christmas Cards via the Card Aid Website will really make a difference to Behind the Scenes, which only launched in the UK in October.

The set includes a number of video elements that are key to the music-based quiz show, which is hosted by Rhod Gilbert. This series is recorded at Stage 9 of Elstree Television Studios and broadcast on BBC2.
