BALLARAT, Australia — George Langley Jr., 47, who was nearly electrocuted in a Jan. 6 accident while setting up outdoor speakers in Buninyong for the Cycling Australia Road National Championships, is reportedly recovering from his injuries. Langley, who came into contact with speaker cable that was touching a live wire, was working on behalf of George Langley Public Address Systems, a family business. Co-workers and a passing bicyclist were credited for sustaining Langley with CPR until paramedics arrived.

AARHUS, Denmark - A production of traditional song, dance and art, “Holy Heimori,” premiered in the Shanghai Temple in Inner Mongolia with Martin lighting incorporated into the design. LD Sha Xiao Lan, world renowned for his lighting design of the 2008 Beijing Olympics, helped the show come to life. Lighting supplier was Beijing Constellation Digital Technology Ltd., the sole distributor of Martin lighting in Northern China.

HIGH WYCOMBE, UK - Jands Vista consoles, running the new Vista v2 software, have been installed in the two TV studios at Lincoln University’s Media Broadcast Production Centre. The studios were recently upgraded to offer students the opportunity to learn on the latest lighting and camera technologies. Jands exclusive UK dealer A.C. Entertainment Technologies Ltd (AC-ET) supplied the Jands Vista consoles - a T2 and an I3 - to the University.

The show took place at the new Teatro Petruzzelli theatre in Bari. Rental company International Sound - owned by the Firulli brothers - supplied the gear.

AUSTIN, TX - High End Systems’ Technospot automated luminaire takes the stage for Hungary’s version of X Factor, the popular TV singing competition. Accompanying the 24 Technospots are SHOWGUN 2.5s, intellaspots, Studio Commands and a Wholehog 3 console with DP8000. Budapest’s Perfect Design Factory designed the lighting and supplied the gear for the show’s current two seasons.
