All Time Low LD Jeff Maker Uses Robe Fixtures for U.K. TourLONDON - For American punk pop band All Time Low's recent U.K. tour, Boston-based LD Jeff Maker specified more than 80 moving lights from Robe. The rig included 54 Pointes, 12 LEDWash 600s and 12 LEDBeam 100s, all from Robe’s Robin range. Maker credited the gear for helping meet the challenge of scaling the light show to different-sized venues.

The refurbishment also included an update to the venue’s lighting system, adding a number of ETC Source Four LED and Selador LED luminaires, all controlled by an ETC SmartFade lighting desk.

Elation On-the-road Reliability for Brit Floyd “Discovery” World Tour

Billed as The World's Greatest Pink Floyd Show, Brit Floyd has performed to over one million fans around the world since its first show in Liverpool in 2011. The lighting design by Dave Hill incorporates Elation's Platinum 5Rs into the trademark Pink Floyd arch and circle light show. Used as part of the floor package are 8 Elation Design Spot 1200C’s, a hybrid spot/wash fixture. “The optics are excellent,” said LD Stu Dingley, “often rivalling output from other fixtures with larger apertures and lamps. We noticed this especially on the shows where we had to hire in an alternative floor package."

The First Night Riders Charity Motorbike and Classic Car Event Revs up for 2014

This year marks the fifth year for the First Night Riders charity motorbike tour which raises money for The Theatrical Guild. Established in 1891, TTG is dedicated to looking after theatre personnel who, due to a variety of circumstances, need educational sponsorship, counselling, or welfare advice, in order for them to regain employment in the theatre industry. This year's tour takes place June 20-23.

Clay Paky at Circus Roncalli

GERMANY - In the four decades since its founding, Circus Roncalli has always been committed to maintaining the classical circus tradition. And as the circus has grown over the years, so too has it lighting needs. Currently, several Clay Paky lights, including 36 A.leda K10s, 28 Alpha Spot HPE 700s and six Alpha Wash 700s, were installed along with other equipment. "The A.leda K10's brightness is unmatched. Despite its compact size, it is a really efficient wash light. It is also impressive thanks to its excellent colour rendition. Furthermore, these lights are surprisingly lightweight and are perfectly suited to places of this kind," said Managing Director Jens Wiegandt.
