OSLO - Norwegian hip hop/ rap band Karpe Diem played its largest show to date recently at Oslo’s Spektrum Arena. Karpe Diem’s LD Sebastian Ekeberg chose a Martin rig which included some of Martin’s newest products. The show was broadcast on Norwegian TV and will appear on a future DVD release by the band.

SAO PAULO, Brazil - Robe moving lights were featured on the two main stages of the 2013 Brazilian Lollapalooza Festival at São Paulo’s Jockey Club. The principal lighting contractor was São Paulo-based LPL Professional Lighting. Artists rocking the main stages stages included The Flaming Lips, Deadmau5, The Killers, Franz Ferdinand, Queens of the Stone Age, Kaiser Chiefs, Pearl Jam and more.

BAD KLEINKIRCHHEIM, Austria - Clay Paky lights starred on entertainment pop music show, "Wenn die Musi Spielt," broadcast live by the German public television network. The event took place outdoors on an open air stage in an Austrian ski resort, where the lighting was successfully challenged by an environment of snow and ice.

LONDON - Lighting designer Rick Fisher chose ETC‘s Selador Desire LED fixtures to help light the recent production of David Hare’s The Judas Kiss at the Duke of York’s Theatre in London. “For the kind of work I’m doing – a subtle piece with the lighting concentrating on moods, emotional states, and times of day – I wanted lighting which doesn’t draw attention to itself,” says Fisher. “The Desire fixtures give a very nice, natural looking light, which was a pleasant surprise and a real advance.”
